How To Resolve Android Bootloop On All Android Smartphones?

If you are wondering what is Android bootloop in the first please, then you didn't have updated or rooted your Android Smartphones yet. But those who have done it already might have came across this very often. Android bootloop is a common Android firmware glitch which throws your phone into endless booting and shutdown loop. Please follow the below given simple steps to resolve the Android bootloop issue on your favourite Android Smartphone from LG, HTC, Samsung, Motorola, Nokia, Huawei, Lenovo, Acer, Micromax or Lava.

Symptoms and causes of Android Bootloop

1. Android bootloop normally occur after rooting, updating, custom ROM installation etc.

2. Phone will not normally boot, it will be stuck up on the brand Logo for an indefinite period or it may restart after loading the logo.

4. Phone will be stuck up on the manufacturer logo.

If your Android Smartphone is having any of the above symptoms you can confirm that it is in Android Bootloop.

Steps to Resolve Android Bootloop On Android Smartphone

Method 1 (Stock ROM)

a. Steps

1. First you need to switch off your Android Smartphone and enter it into Android "Recovery Mode". The method to enter into recovery mode is different for different manufacturers. So it is very difficult to explain each method for each of them. So I can give you an idea on what to do here. So if your android smartphone is having a hard key home screen button then you need to press and hold the "Home"+"Power"+"Volume Up" buttons, and release the power button once you see your phone model number. But if your phone doesn't have a physical home screen button then press and hold the "Power"+"Volume Up" buttons, and release the power button once you see your phone model number and do the same again until you enter into recovery mode.

Entering into recovery for different brands will be slightly different so I am going to explain methods for each brand separately below.


How to enter LG Android Smartphone into recovery mode?


1st Method
To enter an LG Android Smartphone into "Recovery Mode" first please Power off your device. Now press and hold "Vol Down"+"Power" Buttons at the same time.
Release all buttons when you see the LG G "Model" screen flickers and in a few seconds you will be entered into the recovery mode.
2nd Method
Power off your device and wait a few seconds. Now press and hold the "Vol Down"+ Power" buttons at the same time for 2-3 seconds until the LG logo appears on the screen. Now release the buttons and press them again until you get the recovery screen.


How to enter Sony Android Smartphone into recovery mode?

 

To enter Sony Android Smartphone into recovery mode first please turn off your Sony Android Smartphone. Now power on your device and when the LED notification lights turn on press Volume Up or Volume down buttons several times. Now your Sony Android Smartphone will be booted into recovery mode.


How to enter HTC Android Smartphone into recovery mode?

 

Before initiating the procedure you need to go to Settings and uncheck the option "FASTBOOT". This can be done from "Settings"->"Battery"->Uncheck FASTBOOT. Now please power off your HTC smartphone and wait for some time until it is completely in the power down status. Once your HTC smartphone is in the power down status please press and hold "Vol down" button and press the power button to switch it ON. Don't release the "Vol down" button until you see the Bootloader Mode. Now kindly select "RECOVERY" from the Bootloader options. Please use "Vol up" and "Vol down" button to toggle and "Power" button to select and confirm an action.

 

How to enter Lenovo Android Smartphone into recovery mode?


To enter Lenovo Android Smartphone into recovery mode first please power off your device. Now to boot into recovery mode press and hold Volume Up and Power Button at the same time. Release all buttons when the Lenovo "Model Name" screen flickers and in a few seconds the Recovery screen will appear.


How to enter Huawei Android Smartphone into recovery mode?


To enter Huawei Android Smartphone into recovery mode first please turn off your phone and press and hold "Power"+"Home"+"Volume Up" buttons together untill you see the Android System Recovery screen, and release the buttons. Please use the Volume Down button to navigate through options and use Power button to choose the highlighted option.


How to enter Micromax Android Smartphone into recovery mode?


To enter Micromax Android Smartphone into recovery mode first please switch off the device. Now press and hold "Power"+"Home" buttons at the same time. After some time release “Power” button and continue to hold “Home” until an exclamation appears. Now press the call button and your Micromax Android Smartphone will be entered into the recovery mode.


How to enter Nexus Android Smartphone into recovery mode?


To enter Nexus Android Smartphone into recovery mode Press and hold Volume Down, Volume UP and Power buttons all at the same time release the buttons only when the Fastboot / Bootloader Mode options appear. A START text is listed at the upper part of your device’s screen, use the Volume buttons to change START to Recovery Mode option. Now press the Power button to select Recovery Mode, after that you will see an Android robot tilted and showing a red warning sign.

Even if your phone is switching "On" and "Off" you can do the same procedure.

2. Once you are in recovery mode you will see a similar screen like in the screen shots given below;

3. Now in the Android Recovery Mode to resolve the Android bootloop on your Android Smartphone select the option "wipe cache partition". You can use the "Volume Up" and "Volume Down" buttons to scroll and "Power" button to confirm the action.

4. Once you are done with it use the "reboot system now" option from the recovery mode main menu to restart the phone.

Method 2 (Custom ROM)

a. Steps

If the issue is not resolved by method 1 then you can do the below given step to resolve the Android bootloop on your Android Smartphone. But this method can be done on custom ROMs only.

1. Please refer the Recovery Menu Type (1) screen shot given above. In the main recovery mode menu please select the option "advanced" and select “Wipe Dalvik Cache

2. Now go to recovery mode main menu and select the option "reboot system now".

That's it...The Android bootloop issue will be resolved by now.

Method 3 (Stock ROM)

If the issue is still not resolved even by method 3 then you can try this method. Please note that all the data on your phone will be erased once you perform this procedure, so kindly make a backup of all your device data before proceeding.

a. Steps

1. Enter your Android Smartphone into recovery mode.

2. Once you are in Android recovery mode select the option "wipe data/factory reset" and confirm the action in the next step.

3. Now go to the recovery mode main menu and select the option "reboot system now" and your device will be restarted and will boot up successfully.

By doing all the steps above or some of it will help you to resolve the Android bootloop issue on your Android Android Smartphone.
