How To Resolve Fast Battery Draining Issue On Android Smartphone?

 

Did your Android Smartphone loosing battery too fast? Are you so worried and planning to replace the battery, if so please wait for a second and do the steps in this tutorial because, it may not be a damaged battery all the time. But first we need to investigate what may be the exact reason behind it. If it’s a hardware issue or a damaged battery then there is no other solution except replacing it. But if it’s a software issue we can sort it out with some tricks.

Did you recently installed any new app ( a bad app to be exact)

If the battery draining is as a result of a bad application, then we need to identify the correct one. So find out the recently installed apps and uninstall it and restart your phone. Now check whether the battery life has been normalized. To uninstall an app go to Settings->Application Manager.

If it’s very hard you to pointout the exact app which causing the issue then please enter your Android Smartphone into the safe mode and check. In safe mode all the apps will be disabled except the factory installed ones so you will be able to confirm that the battery drain is due to a bad app installed.

To enter your Android Smartphone into Safe Mode please switch it off first. Once the phone is switched off completely wait for a few seconds and press “Power” button to switch it back on. When you see the phone model number on screen press and hold the “Vol Down” incase of a single vol button, press and hold both vol up and down buttons in case of two separate vol control buttons. Once your phone is booted up it will automatically go to the “Safe Mode“. Now check whether the battery issue is resolved, if resolved then try to find the bad app which is draining the battery, if not please proceed with below steps.

Do you keep your data connection “Switched ON” all times?

If you keep your data and wifi connection enabled all times then please disable it when not required, because data connection is the main thing behind the battery drain in modern Smartphones.

Now is the time to turn Off the automatic Sync

In your Android Android Smartphone there will be lot apps which automatically syncs it’s data all the time like for eg: Gmail app. So Please disable the auto sync option for all that kind of apps and do manual sync when you need it.

To disable sync there are lot of options

Methods 1

Settings->Power Saving Mode-> Uncheck “Block backgroud data”

From the notification panel as shown in the above screen shot.

Method 3

Settings->Data usage> expand the menu and  uncheck the option Auto sync data.

These options will be different for different manufacturers so please Google to find the exact method.

Turn of Location Services

Turn off the location services/GPS when you doesn’t need it. You can disable it from the notification panel or from Settings menu. Location/GPS will eat up a lot of battery power.

These are the methods with which you can resolve the fast battery drain issue on your Android Smartphone, if the issue is still not resolved try to contact a nearby service centre and get the battery replaced asap.
